About the Event
Join us for Kirtan in the Park, an uplifting community kirtan held every Friday!
Escape into sacred sound as we hold outdoor kirtan chanting in the serene greenspace of Fort Greene Park. Led by expert kirtan leaders from Bhakti School NYC, this is a unique opportunity to chant powerful mantras and immerse yourself in meditative vibration.
The two-hour kirtan takes place every Friday from 5pm to 7pm. It features call-and-response chanting of ancient Sanskrit mantras set to enchanting live music. Kirtan is an ancient spiritual practice that opens the heart, clears the mind, and invokes inner peace.
There is no need to bring anything - just your open spirit. Close your eyes, tune into the divine vibrations, and forget all worries as our voices blend together in musical meditation. Emerge uplifted, inspired, and unified through sacred community chanting.
Kirtan in the Park is family-friendly and open to all. No experience required, only a willingness to participate. Join us this Friday and every Friday from 5pm - 7pm near the grass field in Fort Greene Park, facing DeKalb Avenue.
Let the joy of kirtan awaken your highest consciousness amidst nature's tranquil beauty. An enlightening musical experience awaits!
