Need an internal reset?
We're excited to invite you to our fifth resident Be a Monk Challenge program happening in October! This unique experience offers participants the chance to live like a Hare Krishna monk for a weekend at our peaceful temple in Downtown Brooklyn and get a taste of the contemplative life without leaving the city.
From Friday afternoon October 18, 2024 to Monday morning October 21, 2024, immerse yourself in this transformative 4-day, 3-night monk challenge. Join an inspiring community of like-minded practitioners to disconnect from everyday distractions and nurture your spiritual wellbeing.
Gain insights into timeless wisdom traditions as you follow the monk's daily routine. Practice meditation, chanting, yoga, and mindful service. Attend enlightening discourses on spiritual philosophy. Enjoy sanctified sattvik meals. Learn the secrets of living with purpose and integrity.
Whether you're longing for inner peace or seeking a renewed sense of meaning, this intensive monk challenge will rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit. Leave feeling refocused, recharged and inspired to live your highest truth.
Experience the life of a monk first-hand, without renouncing worldly life. Reconnect with your sattvik core in the heart of NYC through this unique spiritual immersion program.
However, before purchasing tickets, all potential attendees must undergo a brief phone interview with one of our event coordinators. This allows us to ensure the program is a good fit for each individual and that all participants are prepared for the disciplines of monastic life during the retreat.
Application Process:
- Please E-mail our event coordinators at bhaktischoolnyc@gmail.com if you are interested in this program.
- They will contact you to schedule a phone interview regarding your application to see if this program is the right fit for you.
- During the phone interview, they will discuss your interests, expectations, and ability to follow the retreat's rules and schedule.
- If approved after the interview, you will be allowed to purchase your event ticket.
Please note that event tickets cannot be purchased without first completing the phone interview process. Any tickets purchased without prior approval will be refunded.
We highly recommend starting the application process as soon as possible, as spots are limited for this unique experience. We're looking forward to hearing from you!
