About the Workshop
Join Pandava dasa at Bhakti School NYC as we unpack symbolic tales about the shifting fates of two pivotal figures - the fallen sage Bharata and the redeemed sinner Ajamila. Through captivating storytelling, we will explore these seminal parables on morality and spirituality from the revered Bhagavata Purana scripture.
We will vividly retell the account of the righteous Bharata, who renounces his kingdom to lead an ascetic life yet tragically becomes attached to a deer in his final days, accelerating his spiritual decline. Alongside, we will recount the dramatic story of Ajamila, a fallen priest who led a life of vice yet attained liberation at the moment of death by unconsciously uttering his son’s name, which happened to be another name for God.
